Presidents Message ( June 2020)
It gives me Immense pleasure to commission the Sainik School Ghorakhal Old Boys Association (SSGK OBA) updated and revised website.
The present executive committee of the OBA took over on 1st June, 2019 for three years tenure. The main tasks ahead are:
- Renewal of registration of our OBA with Registrar of Societies, which has not been operative for some time.
- Updating the list of registered members,
- Alumni Identity card
- Finalization of Accounts and its audit
- Creation of distress Relief Fund and its Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Our school has rendered yeoman service in the field of Education for more than 53 glorious years. The school has continuously achieved the aim laid down and has been bestowed with the ‘Defense Minister’s Trophy’ eight (8) times in the span of last 15 years.
The credit for this no mean achievement goes to Officers, members of staff, students & the Old Boys who have all contributed whole heartedly.
The permanent feature in the legacy of a school is the permanent teaching staff & the OBA. Their contribution therefore is immense. I feel it is payback time for the Old Boys who are what they are today because of our school’s upbringing.
I therefore request all the old boys to join the OBA with a resolve to serve the school and its fraternity with Tan, Mann & Dhan…
